Quick Sissy

I was scouting for months trying to snag a good deal for an acetylene tank to no avail, turns out, since I wouldn't really be doing much cutting, I can opt for a propane tank instead. I have an extra one at home so I dragged it to the shop, got an adapter, and popped my first blue flame. Worked great and I finally had the chance to break in the gears for this particular project. No biggie but lots of fun to do.


This was supposed to be a longer piece but towards the end of I decided for a better configuration, safety issues being the concern. So late in the afternoon I had to redo the bends again. Doesn't matter. Turned out more sturdy than the previous one. Raw steel. Hope Borgs decides to chrome it.

They Don't Make 'Em Like They Used To

Some of the best shoes I've had back then from my skateboarding days. We had to order VHS tapes of Ban This and Questionable, now any kid can just log on and suck in all the videos to his heart's delight. I still have my roots to be proud of though, back when Natas, Ray Barbie and Mike Vallely were household names. Pity I didn't save my set. Damn, that was 18 years ago. Wish I can come across even just one from the Disaster series.

Safety :: Read This Demmit

After spending a little over 3 hours sleep on average per day for more than 18 years things are starting to get hazy for me. The worst effect is easily forgetting things, to an extent that its already becoming stupid. I tend to hurt, burn, lose, scar, cut myself easily because I forgot I was too close, it was still hot, the blade was there, etc., situations where one with a healthy common sense could normally and easily avoid. The only solution to combat this is presence of mind, and just plain paying attention to what I'm doing. Still it's a struggle.

So before I forget my name and that I have a blog, it is wise practice to read a lot of experiences from other people with regards to safety concerns. Be alert. Be informed.
