A Look Back :: Noli's Elvira

I just realized, I like moving violations. More so if they're moving violations that work. Dante and I made a round over to Noli's shop to check out some details about an inquiry I have. I had no idea I'd be running into another of his recent creations, Flavio. This bike had a surprise at every joint and bend. The trick is in the details, with just the right brass trimmings thrown in. I love the size 22mm socket wrench converted to a tail light held by a lever. The converted brake cylinder contraption has genius written all over it. Sorry I couldn't get a better quality close up of the gas cap, as always I didn't bring my camera.


I had this crazy moment last night where I was thinking of transferring my master cylinder down below to finally take away the clutter from the skinnyZ's and remembered Noli mentioning it a while back. Turns out there was more than one way to get at it. This is one, and the other was on Elvira. Yes that's a number 9 wrench turned into a swivel.

Just awesome.

This space is for a deserving shout out to Jason, for riding out to assist a rider in need, and to Dante of Lucky Monkey for taking time out to lend me that blessed trickle charger. It was a very colorful day for me yesterday and these guys went out of their way to become part of it. There really is no substitute for people you know you can rely on when the need comes.

Chock one up for the local boys of Lucky Monkey. Kawasaki KZ750 with no registration, chopped dropped and inlayed with brass and embellished with Brass Agimats( Filipino protection amulets) . Custom touches such as the jeepney fender 4.5 liter gas tank, old Ducati handgrips, old Gilera seat, a discarded Avon white side wall. It's bizarre and beautiful at the same time.
